FIELDS-HAIRSTON WEDDING Melissa D. Fields and John R. Hairston were married on December 31, 2025, at the Omni Hotel at the Battery Atlanta. Melissa is the daughter of Mrs. Shirley Payne-Fields and the late Abraham Fields of Miami, Florida. John is the son of Mrs. Betty J. Hairston- Boyd of Virginia Beach, Virginia.Melissa is a graduate of Florida A & M University and John is a graduate of Capella University. Their fields of work are business management and psychology and ministry respectively. Both are employed in Atlanta --where they met and where they will make their home. John and Melissa's intimate ceremony was intentional in every detail thoughtfully designed to bear witness to how purposeful God was in creating their love for one another. The unique celebration honored family in a deeply personal way - featuring family members in a procession to light candles in remembrance of loved ones whose presence was felt in spirit throughout the day. The eight o'clock ceremony flowed seamlessly into a reception and celebration, welcoming not only the beginning of their life together, but also the arrival of the New Year! On January 1, 2026, Mr. and Mrs. Hairston will depart for their honeymoon enjoying sunshine and relaxation on the beach.
