NOTICE OF THE FULTON COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS PROPOSED 5% INCREASE TO THE 2026-2027 WATER AND SEWER RATE STRUCTURE On July 9, 2025, The Fulton County Board of Commissioners (BOC) approved the Department of Public Works to pursue public comments regarding the proposed increases to the water and sewer rate structure of the County. Based on the recent financial analysis, in order to complete the revised 2025-2027 Capital Improvement Program and in preparation of the upgrade/expansion to the Camp Creek WRF, Fulton County must provide additional funding for these projects. The Department of Public Works will hold public hearings in anticipation of a resolution to authorize increases in water and sewer rates, fees and charges. If approved by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners, the new rate structure would go into effect beginning on January 1, 2026, and January 1,2027. Any changes in water and sewer rates, fees and charges will be set in order to complete the projects identified in the current CIP, South Fulton Capacity Study and Water Masterplan. The Fulton County Department of Public Works will hold public meetings from 5:30 -7:30 p.m. on the following dates: · Monday, July 28, 2025 South Fulton County Service Center 5600 Stonewall Tell Road, College Park, Georgia 30349 · Tuesday, July 29, 2025 Fulton County Customer Service Center 11575 Maxwell Road, Alpharetta, Georgia 30009 2nd Floor Persons wishing to comment on the proposed rate structure are invited to submit their comments in writing to The Fulton County Department of Public Works, 141 Pryor Street S.W., Suite 6001, Atlanta, Georgia 30303 or via email at: terry.peters@fultoncountyga.gov, within 15 days of this notice. "Fulton County 2026-2027 Rate Structure" should be placed at the top of the first page of comments or subject of email.
